There’s never a dull moment at The Dower House! Our driver for the afternoon, Matron Ellie, took residents on a lovely, leisurely wander around a wonderful garden centre, so much more than just plants. From browsing the clothing department to stocking up on birthday cards, and of course discovering a few luxury biscuits and cakes along the way, there was plenty to enjoy.

Our driver for the afternoon, Matron Ellie, took residents on a lovely, leisurely wander around a wonderful garden centre, so much more than just plants. From browsing the clothing department to stocking up on birthday cards, and of course discovering a few luxury biscuits and cakes along the way, there was plenty to enjoy.
When it came time to relax in the restaurant, choosing just one cake was impossible, they all looked far too tempting! We decided to share a selection… though the banana cake was the clear favourite.
After a delightful afternoon and a few happy purchases, we headed home feeling pleasantly tired, arriving just in time for supper.
