I just wanted to thank everyone at The Dower House for a lovely time at the weekend. I am altogether so impressed with the very high standard of care and friendliness of everyone I have met. Such cheerful staff and so committed. I have never experienced anything like it and I have been in many care homes over the years, visiting. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, like a 5-star hotel, very tasty and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef and helpers. The dignified way everyone deals with the residents is admirable. How lucky they are to be with you.

It wasn’t an easy decision for him to move to The Dower House but the way he was looked after quickly reassured him, and us, that it was the right one. It brings us great comfort that Dad was with people he knew and who cared about him on the last leg of his journey. As a family we are also very grateful for the kindness and care you extended to us. The smiles, kind words and hugs meant so much. We knew that you would take good care of Dad but the care we all received went far beyond that.

Having had some experience of the ‘normal’ care home environment I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the facilities and ambience you provide. The public areas are all immaculate, the staff are a discreet and efficient presence, the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The huge bouquet of fresh flowers in the foyer is an especially welcoming touch. The dining room has the feel and quality of a restaurant and the extensive gardens are in beautiful condition. The Dower House provides a Country House feel for its residents
