Fantastic feedback helps us know we’re getting it right!

Here at The Dower House we see our residents as friends and family, regardless of whether they are with us for a few weeks or a few years. Our aim is to make everyone as comfortable and content as possible whilst providing all the care that they need.
We build relationships not only with our residents but also their friends and family, as this helps us to get to know our residents, their lives before we met them and learn more about what we can do to help them enjoy the things that are important to them.
We are always looking at how we can improve things not only whilst someone is with us but also after they have gone, so it is great for everyone across all departments when we receive such lovely feedback like this.
To know that we made a difference, when residents have stayed for respite following an operation, whilst their usual support network is away or in the last months of their lives means a great deal to us and is what we hope to achieve with everyone.
Staff across the entire Dower House team are regularly offered various training opportunities, which currently includes End of Life training with Mountbatten Hampshire, a training day withRichard Steel & Partners Funeral Directors, Dementia awareness and medication management. This helps everyone to have the knowledge required to continue to offer the outstanding care we are known for.
